In reviewing applications, we are looking for thoughtful, honest and complete answers. There are no right or wrong answers, but we are looking to learn as much as possible about you, your history and your interest in our program. We want to make it clear that individuals with criminal records, long gaps in employment, or those who face other barriers to employment are encouraged to apply to the program. In fact, we want to know about these barriers so that we can figure out what our program can do for you! Applications with incomplete answers or answers that show a lack of effort (only one or two words long) may be discarded.

Education History



Criminal Justice System Involvement
Growing Home employs individuals with criminal backgrounds and those currently serving sentences, including those with violent offense or multiple convictions on their background. However, it is mandatory that you report accurate information below.

If selected to participate in the program, you will have the option of working with our legal aid partners to discuss your legal options for sealing or expungement.





Only being on the Sexual Offender Registry disqualifies an individual from the Growing Home program.

Due to the various funding sources of the Growing Home Job Training Program, all participants are required to have certain documents for themselves and select household members in order to enroll.
